Luxury yacht boasts master SkySuite™ with 270-degree panoramic views

Palm Beach, Florida, January 6, 2011 – Argos Yachts delivered and sold its flagship Argos Gulfstream 92 (Argos G92) to a South Florida couple just in time for the holiday season.

Shown recently at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in late October 2010, the Argos G92 was the first hull crafted in the limited-edition Argos Gulfstream series. Argos Yachts guarantees limited production each year; an industry first that contributes to superior investment value.

“Her new owners respect her exceptional engineering, first-class craftsmanship, well-executed and laid out spaces and her enormous boat deck, which is a prominent, much-loved feature of the Argos series,” said Dave Adams, Vice President of Argos Yachts. “One of the buyers is a competitive ballroom dancer. The buyers and their captain put the Argos G92 through a rigorous six-man-day survey, delighting everyone with her comfort, versatility and range of use in 20 knot winds and seas peaking at eight feet.

The Argos Gulfstream Series

A truly revolutionary yacht series, the Argos Gulfstream boasts unsurpassed detailing, amenities, and a hybrid hull that combines long range with high-speed performance never before offered in vessels of similar size and class. The semi-custom series is available in 70 to 100-foot models and on a custom basis from 105 to 145 feet.

The Argos G92 features an industry-first in her class: an unconstrained second-deck master SkySuite™ stateroom. Positioned amidship above deck, the SkySuite™ is secluded, maintaining a level of owner privacy that is simply not available on other vessels of comparable size. Expansive windows supply breathtaking 270-degree panoramic views and ample natural sunlight. Separate his and her heads provide privacy and luxury.

In addition to the master SkySuite™, the Argos G92 includes three well-appointed guest staterooms and crew quarters for four. An additional Sky-Lounge design with galley-up custom layout is also available in this luxury series.

Technical Capabilities

Concept and design of the Argos Yachts series was carried out by the company’s internal design team, with naval architecture led by internationally renowned architect, Howard Apollonio.

Purpose built for challenging seas and frequent Gulf Stream crossings, the Argos G92 features a distinct seagoing profile with a low center of gravity and significantly reduced roll. Her proprietary hull is the world’s first true hybrid, providing excellent range and high-performance speed.

Engine options include high-horsepower packages that offer speeds of up to 33 knots, and are available from 600 hp to 2400 hp to meet owners’ personal performance preferences.

The G70 will sleep six guests in three posh staterooms with ensuite heads. The G70 includes crew quarters for two.

The custom-built Argos G70 will be fitted with CAT C-12 715 HP engines. Tricon Marine expects a cruising speed of 17 knots and maximum speed of 20 knots, with a range of over 2,000 nautical miles at passage-making speeds.

Argos yachts are crafted under a limited-production guarantee, a first for the luxury yacht industry. Only three hulls across the entire series will be built each year, providing owners with the utmost distinction in ownership and superior investment value.

Tricon Marine Argos Gulfstream 92

Howard Apollonio provided the naval architecture for this new oceangoing motor yacht from Tricon Marine, which is headquartered in Nassau, the Bahamas. Despite its explorer heritage, the Argos Gulfstream looks fast and has the performance to match, offering a 33-knot-plus top end with optional engine upgrades, according to Tricon. Its “hybrid” hull is equally adept at cruising at 11 knots or at 23 knots – without “squatting”. Equipped with standard Cat C-32s, it burns a fuel-efficient 7.6 gph at 8 knots. The yacht’s lavish interior accommodations include Tricon’s trademarked SkySuite, a bridge-deck master stateroom with 270 degrees of panoramic views. Three more staterooms, including a VIP, allow the Argos G92 to accommodate eight.

Palm Beach, Florida, February 18, 2010 – Tricon Marine’s luxurious 92-foot (28-meter) Argos Gulfstream yacht (“Argos G92”) is transporting one of the world’s most exclusive tenders – a four-seat float plane – on its sprawling sun deck.

Styled for fun and built to conquer, the Argos Gulfstream series boasts multipurpose split-level sun decks measuring over 800 square feet (75 square meters).  These inviting social areas can be used for everything from housing airplanes to entertaining large groups of 50 or more.

The Sportsman
Outperforming every other aircraft in its class, the Sportsman is the latest addition to the extremely popular Glasair family of aircraft.  It has a nearly 1,000-pound useful load, and, with two pilots and full fuel, can haul over 300 pounds of gear, cargo, or extra passengers while cruising at a top speed of 186 mph.  The four-seat plane will easily handle all of the bulky items you never thought you’d take with you in your airplane – golf clubs, 9’ fishing rods and reels, folding tables, chairs, backpacks, and all kinds of camping, hiking and scuba gear.  With all of this onboard, the Sportsman can cover 600 miles in four hours and still have a half-hour fuel reserve.
